The Great Brereton Spring Clean

You may already be aware, but if not, the Keep Britain Tidy charity is organising a countrywide campaign “The Great British Spring Clean” in early March,

“to bring people across the country together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches.”

It seems very appropriate, therefore, to hold our first group litter pick of 2018 during this campaign, which runs from 2nd to 4th March. Given that we normally meet up on a Saturday, I have selected 3rd March for our next litter pick, under the banner “Brereton Spring Clean,” meeting as normal at 10:00am in the Brereton Primary School car park. Refreshments will be provided for everyone afterwards.

I have registered our Brereton Spring Clean event on the Keep Britain Tidy website as part of the Great British Spring Clean campaign. You can view it by going onto it within their website and clicking the “What’s on” button and entering your postcode.

Please help us Keep Brereton Tidy – come along on the day and encourage your neighbours or friends to get involved also. We will provide the litter picking equipment, but we just need some local heros to make good use of it!
