Complaints Policy

Brereton Parish Community Interest Group (“BPCIG”) want BreretonLife to be of positive benefit to Brereton, its residents and businesses, visitors and anyone who uses the site. If, however, anyone is unhappy with any of the site’s content, it is important there is a proper way of dealing with any complaints.

To notify us of a complaint, please contact us by email at

Your complaint will be acknowledged, normally within 48 hours. It will then be discussed by the BPCIG management committee who will try to agree on how the complaint will be resolved. The complainant will be informed by email of what has been agreed. Whilst our aim is to resolve any complaint in a timely manner, it may take upto 30 days to provide our decision. The BPCIG management committee decision will be final.

We moderate all material being sent to the site in the form contributions, and articles. We will try to maintain a balance between freedom of speech and expression and avoiding personal or damaging comments about individuals, institutions and businesses.

At the same time, we want BreretonLife to be lively, newsworthy, amusing and relevant. The success of BreretonLife indicates that a reasonable balance is struck most of the time. It is our aim to maintain a high standard at all times but deal with any complaints in a proper manner.
