Can I add new Newsroom posts for my organisation?

We encourage all residents, organisations, groups, and businesses to send us news items, photos, reports etc. The more news the better.

Newsroom posts can be submitted at any time, and do not require to wait for the monthly e-Newsletter cycle.

There are 2 ways to get Newsroom posts submitted.

  1. Email your news item with photos to news@BreretonLife.com. Your submitted news article will be reviewed and posted by our Newsroom Editor. Generally your article will be entered exactly as you have submitted it. Occasionally, some editorial changes may be made for cosmetic, factual, grammatical, or presentation reasons. The live post will show as being from the Newsroom Editor. In most cases the editor will attribute the article to you or the group you represent in the footer to the post, and this will become part of the post that users of the website will see.
  2. You can register with the Newsroom Editor to have your own logon to the Newsroom such that you can enter your won posts directly onto the website. This does require some IT skills, but the Newsroom Editor would be happy to provide you with support to get you started. Please request this service using the Contact us page.

Can I make comments to Newsroom posts?

Currently we do not offer this facility.

Our strategy is to allow residents to engage in discussions through our social media links on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

We do offer organisations and groups the ability to post their own newsroom articles. Please see the appropriate FAQ.
